Land Mass of Taraba State

Taraba has unique physical features, which include land mass, relief, drainage, topography, rivers, mountains, hills, climate, vegetation, among other striking characteristics. The State happens to be the third largest State in the country in terms of land mass, with an estimated land area of about 54,473 km2 (21,032 sq mi), lying roughly between latitudes 6°24’N and 9°30’N and between longitudes 9°30’E and 11°45’E. It is geographically bounded in the west by Plateau and Benue States and on the east by an international boundary separating the State from Cameroon.
